SASEM December Featured Newsletter

As we commemorate the biggest and most important event in the year 2008 during the Hajj Season in the Holy Mosque in Mecca, we, as Saudi Society of Emergency Medicine (SASEM) and the assigned team from SASEM Organizer, Global Vision Medical Trading Service (GVMTS) were and still are so proud and lucky to be a part of this successful mass gathering. Our journey started on the of 4th of December 2008 and was completed on 10th of December of 2008.  The designated team was composed of the Mr. Majdi Osman (logistic officer) and Mr. Ahmed Al-Hamwi (marketing officer).

This mission was led by SASEM Board Director Dr. Zuhair Al-Asiri who facilitated and supported us throughout these 6 days of  unforgettable experience. Our mission was to support our tireless Emergency Physicians, nurses and personnel support, talk to them and show to the public how their contribution meant a lot to the success of this Mass gathering of the event of more than 3 million pilgrims who came from various part of the world. We were able to visit the following 7 hospitals in 2 separate locations;

Mena Hospitals:

Mena Aljisr Hospital

Mena Emergency Hospital

Mena Hospital (Al-Sharie Al-Jadeed)

Al-Wadi Mena Hospital

Arafat Hospitals:

Arafat General Hospital

Jabal Al-Rahma General Hospital

Namirah General Hospital

plus the Headquarter of Saudi Red Crescent Society and met the directors and staff at various sectors of these hospitals.

Despite the fact that these Emergency Physicians and personnel were so busy at that time, they managed to provide us some of their precious time to share their experience, knowledge and give us, the public, important message in this type of mass gathering. They welcome and fully embrace the very first coverage of SASEM in last year Hajj Event.

Led by our leader, Dr. Zohair Al Aseri, we were so thankful and fortunate to share our short discussion to you.
